Congratulations
to Mr. Arpan Sharma Final Year student of Aeronautical Engineering Department,
Vel Tech Dr.RR & Dr.SR Technical University on his astounding achievement in the field of Astro Physics.
Mr. Arpan Sharma
has been selected as a Distinguished APS-FIP Student with a cash award of USD
1000 by the APS Forum on International Physics (FIP), together with the Forum
on Graduate Student Affairs (FGSA), the sponsors of the APS Distinguished
Student Seminar Series (DS3) program.
Mr Arpan Sharma has been selected and invited
by APS Forum on International Physics, American Physical Society to present his
research work (Purging of liquid hydrogen
from space shuttle or space planes by liquid helium and to create simulation
environment through smooth particle hydrodynamics method for it) at the
APS April Meeting Salt Lake City, Utah. The meeting will bring together
hundreds of physicists to present the latest research in numerous scientific
disciplines.
The Forum on
International Physics invited applications to the Distinguished Student Seminar
Program, an initiative which recognizes outstanding students in any field of
physics in academic and research excellence or Student teaching or Outreach to
schoolchildren and the public or Leadership in diffusing the knowledge of
physics in one's home country or abroad.
Successful
applicants were to be invited to an annual APS meeting in 2016 to give a
seminar on their work, or participate in a panel dealing with issues affecting
students.
Following the
initiative the Forum wanted to recognize the outstanding students which they
believed can be a career changing experience for the student and support funding
which is often insufficient to meet existing needs and opportunities.
A very moment not just for the student but for the University
as well for scaling new heights and setting new standards.
Mr. Arpan Sharma
Final year student
Aeronautical Engineering Department.
